about

Chelsea Wood

Chelsea Wood’s passion for dance began with her first class at age three and has grown exponentially ever since. Her talent led her to the American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA) in Hollywood, California, where she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Theater. While at AMDA, she studied under modern legends from coast to coast, exposing her to a vast range of artistic forms.
These eclectic skills transitioned Chelsea into a successful career as a dance company member, choreographer, and educator. During her time in California, she served as the Lead Company Teacher at her hometown studio while working as a national judge for Kids Artistic Revue (KAR). In 2021, she returned to AMDA to join the faculty as a tap teacher.
Currently, Chelsea continues to evolve her career and life in Chicago, teaching at All About Dance and serving as a Lead Judge for KAR. Her proudest accomplishment remains watching the students she nurtured for over a decade go on to perform in National Tours and pursue dance education at the country’s most prestigious programs.
