about
Chelsea Wood
Chelsea Wood’s love of dance started with her first class, at the age of three, and has grown exponentially every year since. Her talents landed her in Hollywood, California at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA), where she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Theater. Her time at AMDA exposed her to the breadth of art and its forms, as she studied under modern day legends from coast to coast. The eclectic talents she acquired transitioned her into a successful career as a dance company member, choreographer and teacher. Chelsea’s tenure in California consisted of her bringing her passion back to her hometown studio, as the Lead Company Teacher, while concurrently working as a national judge for KAR. In 2021, Chelsea returned to her Alma Mater, AMDA, to join their teaching staff as a tap teacher. Currently, Chelsea is enjoying the evolution of her career and life, as she embarks on her third year with the Chicago-based studio, All About Dance, and continues her career with KAR as now, Lead Judge. Her proudest accomplishment has been to watch former students, whom she nurtured for over a decade, go on to perform in national tours and continue their Dance Education at some of the Country’s most sought after programs!
