Gentri Gandy

Gentri Gandy has been dancing for over 40 years and teaching for 30 years. Gentri grew up in Bryan, Texas and ever since she could walk, dancing has always been her passion. She grew up competing and traveling to dance conventions , winning titles and scholarships. That led her to the Edge Performing Arts Center in Los Angeles, Ca where she studied for several years with top choreographers , and performed in numerous industrial shows with Prince and Janet Jackson dancers. After completing her scholarship in LA, Gentri moved back to Texas and attended Sam Houston State University majoring in Dance and minoring in business. Gentri opened up her own dance studio Gentri Gandy’s Dance Factory in 2001. As a teacher and choreographer, her dancers have won numerous National Titles and she has won multiple choreography awards. Many of her dancers have gone on to be professional dancers, including dancing for cruise ships and artists such as Beyonce, Jay Z, Missy Elliott, Cardi B, Usher , Chris Brown, and Normani to name a few. Gentri loves sharing her passion for dance with her students and hopes to continue to not only motivate and inspire them, but to teach them life lessons that will stay with them forever. She is blessed with three beautiful children Camden, Camille, and Case and three bonus kids, and a grandson who all keep her busy and always on her toes. Ms. Gandy has thoroughly enjoyed being a judge for Kar and Rainbow Dance competitions for the last 14 years.
