Jayda Powell
Jayda Powell graduated from Wayne State University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Dance on a Maggie Allesee Four-Year Dance Talent Scholarship and is a certified Dance Masters of America and Acrobatic Arts instructor. While at Wayne State University, she trained under artists such as Meg Paul, Biba Bell, BAIRA, Lisa Wilmot, and more. Jayda has had the opportunity to perform works by Della Hamby, Adam McGaw, Meg Paul, Jill Cassidy, and Stephanie Troyak amongst others. Jayda is from Jackson, Michigan, and began dancing at the age of three. At the age of twelve Jayda became an assistant dance teacher, and at fourteen she started teaching classes and private lessons independently. Jayda has professional performance experience, extensive knowledge of multiple dance genres, and exposure to instructors in and out of state. Her favorite dance experiences are performing Professionally for the first time as a contemporary dancer, and performing in the final gala her freshman year at the American College of Dance Association with Wayne State University in Brockport, New York.
