about
Hailie Anne Reeder
My name is Hailie Anne, I am California born and raised, currently based in Los Angeles!
Though starting dance at a later age than most, my love has been big since the beginning. I have had the privilege to train under so many strong dance educators including Molly Long and Easton Blake Payne at Project 21, Sam Nelson and Hamilton Evans at Millennium Dance Complex in Los Angeles, and Shannon Mater at Mather Dance Company, to name a few. I have had amazing opportunities to audition and dance professionally, while also working on film and with artists in the industry.
I have so much love for dancing, but an even greater gravitation toward choreographing. I began teaching at the age of 15 at local studios in my hometown and began pursuing choreography not too long after. Following my move to LA three years ago, I began teaching my choreography to friends and then was asked to teach at studios in the area. My hope for dancers who step into a studio with me is to feel empowered and strong while dancing choreography with strong jazz techniques and roots. I am currently teaching weekly at Millennium Dance Complex Los Angeles, which has always been a dream of mine. Having the opportunity to dance and share with others weekly in a studio where there are so many different walks of life, is truly something so special. I also travel all over teaching choreography and master classes, as well as assisting other choreographers, getting to meet and dance with so many! When I'm not dancing or teaching, you most likely will find me on a beach- rain or shine!
