Erika Edison
Erika Edison is a dance and musical theatre professional whose career spans over a decade and has taken her to 36 US states, 8 countries, and 3 continents as a performer, teacher, adjudicator, educator, and studio director. Originally from Reading, PA, she launched her career in New York City at 19, completing the Professional Semester at Broadway Dance Center and performing internationally as Enid Hoopes in "Legally Blonde: The Musical" (Shanghai, Beijing, Singapore, and more). She has taught on faculty at AMDA NY and the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts. In her favorite aspect of her dance career, Erika has been adjudicating dance competitions and pageants for 8 years. She's judged for over 10 major national competition and convention companies, including: World Dance Championship, World Dance Pageant, KAR/Rainbow, Artists Simply Human, REVEL, Starquest, InlOsity, Headliners, OnStage America, True Dance Challenge, DECA, and the Miss America Organization. She has experience not only as a regular panelist, but also as a head judge, a teacher judge, and in live critiques. She is a proud member of Actors Equity Association and Impact Dance Adjudicators. From 2021 until its closing in 2025, Erika spent four years leading her family's award-winning dance studio: The Dance Gallery in Reading, PA - an ADCC Studio of Excellence. Her students have received countless overall high scores, technique awards, and titles, and she's trained dancers who have been accepted to programs including the Joffrey Ballet School, the Rock
School, the Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, and the School of Philadelphia Ballet.
In May 2025, she graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Pennsylvania with a degree in Creative and Professional Writing. She relocated to Philadelphia in September 2025, where, alongside her dance career, she hopes to use her storytelling and creative expression to write a book and build a brand focused on advocating for mental health.
