Noml Brown
Nom-L Brown, age 30, has always dreamt of becoming a professional dance choreographer. After dancing from age 5 to 13, Nom-L would choreograph for various dance groups and events. In 2006 one of his dreams finally came true with the training and assistance of Cindy Littlefield-Jundy. She allowed him to choreograph a piece in the Antelope Valley College’s Dance Dimensions “Journey through Breath” at 14yrs old. During this time he learned stage lighting, stage presentation as well as stage positioning. He furthered his skills by continuing to take jazz, ballet, modern, contemporary and many other dance styles at various dance studios in the Los Angeles and Antelope Valley areas. Learning these different techniques made his creations more interesting and professional.
He received job opportunities teaching and choreographing for: Lula Washington Dance Theater, Third street Dance, Dance Evolutions, Dancin’ in Acton, Cedar Performing Arts Academy, Shiva’s Dance Fitness, Hamma’s dance center, International Dance Fitness, AV Dance fitness as well as taking on the Performing Company Director position for Extensions Performing Arts Academy. He also choreographed and danced on tour for Disney Recording Artist “Anna Margaret”. Nom-L has also taught Zumba fitness, choreographed for Quinceneras and coached dance teams for Golden Valley, Pete Knight, Quartz hill, and many other High schools. While currently working on his second year as a parade performer at the Disneyland Resort, Nom-L enjoys taking the time out to continue dance training at places like Millenium Dance Complex and Debbie Reynolds.
“Dance…I feel, was meant to be therapeutic. When I am dancing or choreographing, I create an open universe where everyone is welcome.”
