Natalie Pence

Natalie is the current owner, director, instructor and choreographer at The Studio of Dance Kentucky. She is also the director of The Studio Dance Company (501(c)3). Natalie started her performing arts education at the age of 5 as a baton twirler and continued her love of performing into the dance world as a dance student at Tammy Jo's Studio. During her competitive years, Natalie won numerous State, Regional and National solo titles in Baton Twirling and Dance as well as duet and group awards. A graduate of Greenup County High School, Natalie was a member of the 1992 National Champion GCHS Dance Team and was also the 4-year Featured Twirler for the GCHS Marching Band.  As the 1993 Miss Ashland Area (MAO), she was a finalist in the Miss Kentucky Scholarship Pageant. She went on to Morehead State University to earn a BA in Communications with an Emphasis in Public Relations. While at MSU, she was a member of the Student Government Association, Chi Omega and was the MSU Featured Twirler. Natalie has close to 30 years of teaching experience with Recreational and Competitive students in Jazz, Lyrical, Modern, Musical Theater and Hip Hop. Her students have won numerous Overall, Top Score, Title and High Point Awards at the Regional and National levels in many talent competitions along with Scholarships to Summer Dance Intensives, Dance Conventions and College. She is also a coach and choreographer for middle school, high school and college dance teams including the National Champion GCHS Varsity Dance Team and the National Champion Russell High School JV Dance Team. As a teacher, Natalie has won Outstanding Choreography Awards and was named Teacher of the Year and Choreographer of the Year at the Kids Artistic Revue (KAR) Finals. Her students have won the title of Grand National Champion at three different national dance competitions. Natalie also enjoys watching talent across the country as a judge for KAR and Rainbow National Talent Competitions.
