Jeoffery Harris, Jr.

Jeoffery Harris, Jr. is a native of New Orleans, LA. He is a graduate of Southeastern Louisiana University with a degree in Graphic Design and minor in Dance. His training is in multiple genres of dance including: Ballet, Jazz, Modern, African, Hip-Hop, and Tap. Jeoffery is the Artistic Director/ Owner of F.A.M.E. On Tour Dance Intensive/ Competition. He currently sits on the Arts Council of Baton Rouge Inaugural Artist Advisory Board . Jeoffery is a National Dance Adjudicator for four national dance companies including: KAR (Kids Artistic Revue), Triumph National Talent (Head Dance Judge), Rainbow National Dance Competition and Platinum National Dance Competition. He is also a National dance convention instructor and National Performance Team Choreographer. Jeoffery is a proud member of Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity Inc. and the Nu Chapter of Chi Tau Epsilon Dance honor society. He is the former Artistic Director a Baton Rouge based dance/theater company. He is the creator of “Brown Boys Dance” an organization that promotes diversity in dance by promoting brown male dancers and choreographers. Jeoffery has performed in numerous  productions such as: Performing at the John F. Kennedy Center for Performing Art in Washington, D.C., where his choreography was honored on the National Level for American College Dance Festival. His choreography was selected in the top 4 of 31 in Louisiana and top 31 of 431 in the United States. He has danced under the direction of world renowned dancer, choreographer, and producer, Mrs. Debbie Allen in three of her production companies “Just Dance”, “All the Right Moves” and “Derek’s Song.” Jeoffery has performed and choreographed for the American College Theater Festival with the show “Spunk”. He was a Featured dancer in two movies: “Bolden” and “Who Do You Love?”. Jeoffery has been on a (r)eveloution Circus cabaret tour, Touring from North Carolina to Atlanta. He was awarded the Young Artist Scholarship to American College Dance Festival at Duke University in the summer of 2009. He was a company member of the Baton Rouge based contemporary dance company “Of Moving Colors.” Jeoffery was the choreographer for three of Baton Rouge Based Theater’s stage productions: “Dreamgirls,”  “Love Whitney,” and “Duke Ellington’s Sophisticated Ladies” He has choreographed for the New Orleans Voo Doo Dolls. He has performed for four years at the State Farm Bayou Classics’ Battle of the Bands/Greek show. He has performed with  Doug E. Fresh and also Dawn Richard (Making the Band: Danity Kane) of “Dirty Money” Bad Boy Entertainment. He was also selected as a finalist of the hit television show “So You Think You Can Dance” (Season 6). Jeoffery has choreographed the opening of the “Miss Black Louisiana Pageant.” He was head choreographer of the television series “First Date”. His collaborative artistic work has been featured by Misty Copeland, BET, Essence, and The View. Jeoffery enjoys enhancing his students dance education and discipline. He encourages his students to always perform! With his imagination, skill, artistic vision, and talent; He has been able to relinquish his knowledge of dance to his students. He is always encouraging his students talent and overall growth. Jeoffery thanks GOD for his unique talents.
